Submit a request to verify veteran’s details prior to claim

Select Patient Record
Click on patient in the calendar view to open the patient's record.
Click the Dropdown Button
Click on the down arrow to view options
Click DVA Verification
This will run a veteran verification in real time
You will need the veteran's given name, surname, gender, resedential address to verify
Click Update Veteran Number: AA123456
If you don't already have the veteran number, this will insert it into the patient's file
Entitlement Codes
There are three types of patient verifications for medicare and health fund claiming. Billumbra will automatically detect the type of verification based on the information enetered.
PTEC– Gold Card, provides for all clinically required hospital treatment in both public and private facilities.STEC– White Card, covers clinically required treatment for eligible conditions, including hospital care, allied health services, and mental health support.RPBC– Orange CardPCC- Pensioner Concession CardCSHC– Commonwealth Seniors Healthcare CardNIL- Card type cannot be determined
Other Responses
- 8005 Patient Verification has been completed however patient details were not an exact match. Please check Veteran File Number and name before claiming.
- 8010 The request has not been completed within the allocated timeframe.
- 9650 The Veteran File Number and/or patient details submitted did not match Veteran checks. Please verify the details and resubmit with additional information if available.
